How to PAY for a Program
Lorne Recreation District requires Pre-Registration and Pre-Payment for all Programs offered in order to ensure that Instructor and Facility Rental Fees are covered!
How to PAY for an LRD Program:
Registration Fees are DUE by the Deadline BEFORE the Program begins!
Payments are accepted in CASH, CHEQUE or E-TRANSFER
- Cash - exact change please!
- Cheques - made payable to Lorne Recreation District
- E-Transfers - send to lrecdis@gmail.com - please include the program and attendees name in the notes
Payments can be dropped off at the Lorne Recreation District Office located at 307-3rd Street in Somerset - turn right when you go in the front doors. If no one is in the LRD Office please leave payment in teal drop box just inside the window. Please put payments in an envelope marked with your name and what you are paying for!

If you, or someone you know, has a skill, talent or passion for a topic - sports, fitness, dance, music, woodworking, art, crafts, gymnastics, theatre, photography, cooking or any other recreational program or activity and would be interested in instructing a program please contact LRD!
PLEASE NOTE: Some activities require instructors to hold specific certifications that are required to instruct programming, these certifications must be up-to-date and provided to the LRD Office. Instructors may also be required to hold Liability Insurance Coverage!

Each child will receive a themed cookie decorating kit complete with 12 pre-made cookies, as well as a variety of frosting colours and toppings to decorate them with! PROGRAM: Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C
Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C
Basic course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.
BLENDED COURSE: A portion will be done in-person; other portion will be completed by the participant ONLINE independently prior to course date!

PROGRAM: Balance & Breathe: Yoga
Balance & Breathe: Yoga
This class artfully blends Hatha, Yin and Restorative Yoga - integrating breathwork, mindful postures and meditation to help you slow down, tune in and nurture both mind and body. More than just stretching or exercise, yoga is a holistic practice that encourages moving with intention, deepening the breath-body connection and restoring from the inside out. Whether you’re new to yoga or experienced, this class offers a welcoming space to heal, find calm and cultivate balance in your day. Please note: Participants should be able to get down to and up from the floor. Please bring a yoga mat, bottle of water and wear comfortable clothes you can move in.

PROGRAM: Tiny Tumblers: Floor Gymnastics – Ages 1-12yrs
Tiny Tumblers: Floor Gymnastics – Ages 1-12yrs
A fun and active program where kids build strength, coordination and confidence through basic floor gymnastics skills, games and movement activities.
Tumblers will need to bring a bottle of water, wear comfy clothes they can move in as well as bare feet. Hair should be tied back, away from the face.
Please Note: For the safety of participants, we kindly ask that all parents/guardians remain at the location for the duration of the class. However, to maintain a positive learning environment, parents/guardians are not permitted inside the gymnasium during class time for the 4yrs+ Sessions. Please try to stay in the lobby area outside of the gymnasium doors, people are not permitted to wander around the halls of the school. If this happens, we can lose our Permit to utilize the space. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
Adult will need to participate with child(ren) during the Parent & Tot Session!

Come check out Canada’s fastest growing sport! Pickleball blends elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong together to offer a unique experience. This session is for Adult Players who want to play and have fun. Courts may be split into Skill Levels, depending on number of participants that sign up! Yogalates combines Yoga and Pilates to straighten posture, enhance flexibility and promote relaxation. A perfect combination for improving your muscle tone. PROGRAM: Cardio Drumming
Cardio Drumming
Using drumsticks to “drum” on an exercise ball, participants follow the rhythm of upbeat music while following the various steps and moves from the instructor. This is a low-impact cardio workout that can be adapted for all fitness levels. If you like great music and having fun, this class is for you! Please bring an exercise ball, something to place the ball on so it is at least at your waist height (such as a laundry hamper or bucket), a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothes you can move in.

Come learn the FUNdamentals of dance, such as coordination, rhythm and self-expression, in this fun and engaging class. Basic dance techniques and steps will be taught, leading up to a performance during the last class!
Dancers will need to bring a bottle of water, wear comfy clothes they can move in as well as bare feet or ballet shoes. Hair should be tied back, away from the face.
