How to PAY for a Program
Lorne Recreation District requires Pre-Registration and Pre-Payment for all Programs offered in order to ensure that expenses are covered!
How to PAY for an LRD Program:
Registration Fees are DUE by the Deadline BEFORE the Program begins!
Payments are accepted in CASH, CHEQUE or E-TRANSFER
- Cash - exact change please!
- Cheque - made payable to Lorne Recreation District
- E-Transfer - send to lrecdis@gmail.com - please include the program and attendees name in the notes
Payments can be dropped off at the Lorne Recreation District Office located at 307-3rd Street in Somerset - turn right when you go in the front doors. If no one is in the LRD Office please leave payment in teal drop box just inside the window. Please put payments in an envelope marked with your name and what you are paying for!

Program Instructors WANTED!
If you, or someone you know, has a skill, talent or passion for a topic - sports, fitness, dance, music, woodworking, art, crafts, gymnastics, theatre, photography, cooking or any other recreational program or activity and would be interested in instructing a program please contact LRD!
PLEASE NOTE: Some activities require instructors to hold specific certifications that are required to instruct programming, these certifications must be up-to-date and provided to the LRD Office. Instructors may also be required to hold Liability Insurance Coverage!

PROGRAM: Basketball SKILLS Camps - Ages 8-15yrs
Basketball SKILLS Camps – Ages 8-15yrs (register based on participant experience)
Take your basketball skills to the next level! Camps will focus on core fundamentals including ball control, dribbling, passing, shooting, defense and teamwork, with time for drills, games and scrimmages to apply new skills. Please bring both a white and black t-shirt, a water bottle and wear non-marking running shoes.

Dates: 4 Sessions – Tuesdays – March 10, 17, 24 & April 7 (No Class: March 31)
Skill Levels, Timeslots & Registration Fees:
- Beginner Camp– 6-7pm – $70/Participant
- Designed for those new to basketball. Focuses on basic skills, learning the rules of the game and building confidence on the court.
- Intermediate/Advanced Camp– 7-8:30pm – $90/Participant
- Designed for those who have attended camps and have experience in organized practices or game situations. Emphasis is on refining skills, increasing game awareness, introducing strategy and participating in more structured and competitive gameplay.

PROGRAM: Cardio Drumming: Mariapolis
Cardio Drumming: Mariapolis
Using drumsticks to “drum” on an exercise ball, participants follow the rhythm of upbeat music while following the various steps and moves from the instructor. This is a low-impact cardio workout that can be adapted for all fitness levels. If you like great music and having fun, this class is for you! Please bring an exercise ball, something to place the ball on so it is at least at your waist height (such as a laundry hamper or bucket), a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothes you can move in.

Discover the bold, vibrant possibilities of working with chalk pastels in this hands-on class. Discover the art of hand-built ceramics in this hands-on clay workshop. PROGRAM: Kids Dance - Ages 3yrs+
Kids Dance!
Come learn the FUNdamentals of dance, such as coordination, rhythm and self-expression, in this fun and engaging class. Basic dance techniques and steps will be taught, leading up to a performance during the last class! Dancers will need to bring a bottle of water, wear comfy clothes they can move in as well as bare feet or ballet shoes. Hair should be tied back, away from the face.
Please Note: For the safety of participants, we kindly ask that all parents/guardians remain at the location for the duration of the class. However, to maintain a positive learning environment, parents/guardians are not permitted inside the gymnasium during class time. Please try to stay in the lobby area outside of the gymnasium doors, people are not permitted to wander around the halls of the school. If this happens, we can lose our Permit to utilize the space. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
Those waiting may borrow chairs from the ÉRND Staff Room, located across the hall from the Gymnasium. Please return the chairs and put them back around the table once the last class is done
