Position Objectives:
The Municipality of Lorne is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join its Public Works team in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. Reporting to the Working Foreman, the successful candidate will provide a range of municipal public works services to residents of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes and other areas of the municipality as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operation and maintenance of municipal equipment
- Snow removal and mowing operations
- General public works duties and tasks as assigned
- Participation in Manitoba Water and Wastewater training
- Providing relief coverage for the utility plant when required
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s licence, class 3 an asset
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required
- Commitment to municipal policies, safe work practices, and Workplace Safety and Health standards
This position is part of the Local 987 Collective Bargaining
Unit and is governed by the terms of the applicable collective agreement. The
starting wage is $28.67 per hour.
