Centre d'interprétation Saint-Léon Interpretive Centre

The Centre d’interprétation Saint-Léon Interpretive Centre, built in 2004, is a must-visit attraction! Inside, visitors can learn about the region’s Wind Farm, the Tiger Salamander—a local species native to the area—and the many bird species that make this region their home.

Outside, you’ll find a wind turbine blade and the shell of a nacelle from the nearby wind farm. A short walk around Round Lake, part of the Trans Canada Trail that winds through the municipality, leads to an observation tower where you can spot waterfowl and other resident birds. A Hybrid Poplar tree plantation is also located next to the Centre.

The Centre is easy to find—just look for its brightly coloured mural, created by local artist Hubert Théroux, which adorns the front of the building. And if one day isn’t enough to explore it all, full-service camping is available nearby!

**NEW — Kayaks for Rent! **
Kayak rentals are now available for $10.00 per session.
Reserve by phone or drop in during summer business hours.
Lifejackets are provided. All participants must sign a waiver before using the equipment. Youth under 18 must bring a parent‑signed consent form.
