Replica of Saint-Adélard School No. 912
The original Saint-Adélard School, located approximately six kilometres southwest of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, opened in the spring of 1898 with an initial enrollment of 20 students. The school continued to serve the community until its closure in June 1960, when enrollment had declined to 12 students.
In 2003, a group of mostly former students constructed a miniature replica of the school on its original site. Inside, visitors will find a collection of artifacts, including year-by-year student lists, group photos, teacher portraits, and various historical images, most of which are displayed on a dedicated feature wall.
The replica school is open during the summer months. For additional information, please visit the Notre-Dame Historical Society in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes.
